Even after Hurricane Irma.... The beauty and peace was grand.
A beautifully scenic park in St. Johns Florida. It has several historic buildings and several paved walking trails. During different times of the year it hosts events and even local farmer's market. A beautiful dock goes out into the St. Johns river and there is a canoe launch ramp for simple boating. Several butterfly gardens dot the park in places. A wonderful area for a picnic or scenic walk.
I highly recommend checking get out this park!
This is a very nice park. It's got a great playground for kids with a big covered picnic area. The park has a great hiking trail that's paved. It's perfect for kids because it's not too long that they'll get tired but it's long enough to get some of their energy out. We've seen various birds, rabbits and even a couple of harmless snakes along this trail.
I grew up going to alpine groves. It's pretty old and run down, but it's nice to see it after leaving it for so long. There's the old barn and the butterfly gardens, and it's just nice to see the history of it.
Nice park with a great children's playground with plenty of shade. The walking path to the river is excellent too.
There is also a great dock you can walk out on. We've often seen turtles, fish and lots of beautiful birds from this dock.
This is a gorgeous locations for getting good pictures taken. In fact, I've not been on a weekend where there weren't photographers doing various family photo sessions.
